WHO WE ARE
Profilati Leggeri Schiavetti is a division of Schiavetti Lamiere forate, specialised in the production of metallic profiles.
During the years, the company has specialised its production into 4 sectors:
- metal profiles for plasterboards
- metal profiles for anchorage/fixing in the electric and hydraulic sectors
- metal profiles for fixing perforated or wired metal sheets and for metal meshes
- special customized metal profiles
The constant research of excellent quality and high standard services, allowed Profilati Leggeri Schiavetti to develop an important presence on the international markets. The export sales represent almost 40% of the company turnover.
The capability to work coils of galvanised, carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium – with thickness from 0,5 mm to 4 mm – makes Profilati Leggeri Schiavetti the ideal partner for customers looking for high technical standards.
The many certifications of the company are the confirmation of its reliability in terms of organisation, technical competence and customer-orientation.
OUR PRODUCTION
In the plant of Silvano d’Orba (AL) of about 4000 square meters, we produce metal profiles with a thickness up to 4 mm in carbon steel and up to 3 mm in stainless steel.
The presence of technicians with experience, together with the engineering support from Schiavetti Lamiere forate’s offices, in Stazzano, allowed Profilati to constantly improve its technical standards.
In 2017 a new press for perforating high thicknesses profiles for the fixing sector has been installed.
The wide range of products in our warehouse allows us to promptly deliver orders coming from customers of the sectors of plasterboards – fixing – carpentry.
Our 7 profile machines and hundreds rollers can meet the most different needs in terms of metal profiles; the possibility to create customized punching dies in the plant of Schiavetti Lamiere forate, is a big opportunity for the customers, unique among the metal profiles producers.
OUR HISTORY
Profilati Leggeri Schiavetti was founded in 1961 in Cogoleto (GE) for the production of metal profiles for the interior walls of cruise ships. Later, it developed the already wide range of profiles, which today makes it present in many market sectors.
Profilati has been, at the beginning of the 70s, among the first producers to believe in the “plasterboard” sector. For years it has produced for “LAFARGE” (French brand of the sector) – up to 2009 – when the Customer decided to start the production in its site. Certification “NF” – compulsory for the sales of profiles in France – allows Profilati to be a protagonist on this market.
Other important international companies of the plasterboard and hydraulic/electric sectors have trusted Profilati in the years, helping its development up today.
In 2009 Profilati became a division of Schiavetti Lamiere forate, with undoubtful advantages from a technical, commercial and management point of view.
